Pianist Cucurucho Valdés, Bebo’s grandson, leads the concert together with double bassist Javier Colina and percussionist Inor Sotolongo, creating a dialogue between generations and musical cultures.
The program includes emblematic works associated with Bebo, original compositions by Cucurucho, and pieces once performed on iconic stages such as New York’s Village Vanguard. Though formed as a trio, the musicians describe the project as a “quartet,” acknowledging the constant artistic presence of Bebo Valdés throughout the concert.
