La Conquista Bikepacking: Burgos to Valencia

La Conquista is presented as one of the bikepacking events with the greatest cultural value in the world. The route follows the historic path of El Cid, taking participants through low-traffic roads, scenic tracks, castles, Roman remains, Iberian heritage, Romanesque, Mudéjar, Gothic, Renaissance, and contemporary cultural sites.

This is not a conventional cycling race. Each rider follows the track and decides when to stop, rest, eat, or continue. The challenge is physical, but the experience is also deeply cultural.

Event Format

Participants ride from Burgos to Valencia with their GPS route and pass through official control points. The organizer provides checkpoint support, food stations, overnight rest points, mechanical assistance points, and tracking.

The event can be completed:

• Solo
• As a pair
• In a team
• In Team Relay format

For relay teams, the official control points act as required changeover locations.

Start & Meeting Point

The first meeting point is at Monasterio de San Juan, Burgos, with the technical briefing and bib collection scheduled before the departure. The ride starts from Burgos and finishes in Valencia.
