The sea district: El Cabanyal, La Malvarrosa, El Grau. Low fishermen's houses with tiled facades, the beach at the end of the street, and a regeneration that has been running for years and is clearly working. Further from the centre, but the tram and bus make it manageable.
For visitors
Valencia's beaches and its most photogenic streets. El Cabanyal's tiled houses are unlike anything else in the city, the seafront is lined with rice restaurants, and the port hosts events through the summer.
