The idea for our restaurant, El Patio de Pepa, was born on a warm summer evening in Valencia—over a glass of wine and some tapas—as we reminisced about the aromas and flavors of our grandmother Pepa’s kitchen, rich with garden-grown produce.

We set out to find the perfect location: a place with a sunny terrace, just steps from Valencia’s iconic Central Market—the city’s most authentic and vibrant source of fresh ingredients. This spot allows us to shop daily, cook without stockpiling, and serve dishes made from the freshest market finds.
