Museu de l'Arròs de València

The Museu de l'arròs de València, a unique museum dedicated to the culture and history of rice, an integral part of the Valencian heritage, is located in the heart of the Poblats Maritims quarter, in a restored rice mill from the early 20th century.

The museum's exposition covers three floors, demonstrating the evolution of rice processing equipment from traditional mechanisms to modern technologies. Visitors can see the restored machines in action, which allows for a deeper understanding of rice processing processes in the past. 

The museum offers interactive exhibitions, including traditional tools, photographs, and multimedia materials about rice cultivation and processing. Special attention is paid to the influence of rice on the culture and economy of Valencia, emphasizing its importance for more than a thousand years. 

For those who want to delve into the gastronomic traditions of the region, the museum organizes workshops on paella preparation, where participants can learn how to cook this famous dish under the guidance of experienced chefs. 

The museum is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00, on Sundays and public holidays — only from 10:00 to 14:00. The entrance fee is 2 €, with the possibility of discounts for certain categories of visitors.
